This year’s Kiaf is organized into three sections: the GALLERIES section, featuring 166 leading domestic and international galleries; the SOLO section, which highlights galleries presenting solo exhibitions of one artist; and the PLUS section, which introduces new galleries that have been in operation for less than 10 years. For its 2024 edition, Kiaf will present a special exhibition, Kiaf onSITE, curated by multimedia specialist Seungah Lee. The exhibition is themed ‘Invisible Transitions’ and explores the relationship between humans and technology. This special exhibition introduces the most noteworthy and innovative works of the year and features seven Korean and international artists who are active in the contemporary art scene, including Yang Min-ha, Wonjung Choi, Jin & Park, Kat Austen, and Winslow Porter.
This year, Kiaf SEOUL and Frieze Seoul will be co-located once again. Kiaf, Frieze Seoul, and KAMS will collaboratively present a Talks Program at Studio 159 within COEX, comprised of 9 individual panel discussions. Renowned opinion leaders from the global art industry will be invited to present various discourses focused on the art market and the art ecosystem.
A limited number of combined tickets for both Kiaf SEOUL and Frieze Seoul will be available for purchase at full price starting June 17 on the official websites of both fairs.
