Tina Kim Gallery is presenting《Kang Seok Ho: Hold Still》, the gallery’s second solo exhibition of the late Korean artist, currently on view from November 20, 2025 through January 24, 2026. Bringing together Kang’s ‘Couple’ and ‘Nude’ paintings—created between the mid-2010s and 2021—the exhibition traces the artist’s sustained engagement with the human figure as a site for exploring painterly surface, materiality, and form.

The work was acquired by a collector on the fair’s second day for 1 million USD and is reportedly destined as a promised gift to a major American museum. Another version of this piece is known to be in the collection of the Seattle Art Museum.

Artist_News Artist Lee Ufan Wins ‘32nd Wolfgang Hahn Prize’
Renowned Korean contemporary artist Lee Ufan has been selected as the recipient of the 32nd Wolfgang Hahn Prize, awarded by the Gesellschaft für Moderne Kunst at the Museum Ludwig in Cologne. This marks the second time a Korean artist has received the award, following Haegue Yang’s win in 2018.

Biennale_News Binna Choi Appointed as Artistic Director for the 61st Venice Biennale Korean Pavilion
The Arts Council Korea (ARKO) has appointed curator Binna Choi as the Artistic Director for the Korean Pavilion at the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia (Venice Biennale) in 2026.
Binna Choi previously served as a curator for the 2016 Gwangju Biennale and as a co-artistic director for the 2022 Singapore Biennale. She was the Director of Casco Art Institute in the Netherlands from 2008 to 2023. She is currently serving as a co-artistic director for the Hawai‘i Triennial 2025, which runs until May 4 this year.
