The UNKNOWN VIBES ART FAIR will be held from January 17 to 19, 2025, at the 31st and 32nd floors of Seoul Dragon City Novotel Suites Hotel in Yongsan, Seoul. Organized and hosted by Herald, SEES4, and Palace Partners, this event aims to highlight the value of traditional Korean art while presenting it with a modern reinterpretation.

This art fair specializes in Oriental painting, calligraphy, and crafts, featuring participation from 44 traditional galleries and over 200 artists, collectively showcasing more than 1,000 works. It is the first art fair in Korea dedicated exclusively to traditional art.

The fair offers a unique opportunity to experience the depth of traditional art and its contemporary reinterpretations in one place. A particular highlight is the participation of master artisan Kim Young-jun, renowned for his exquisite lacquerware inlaid with mother-of-pearl. Invited as a special guest, Kim will present his intricate works, which exemplify the essence of traditional Korean crafts while incorporating modern aesthetics that resonate with contemporary audiences.

UNKNOWN VIBES aims to serve not only as an exhibition platform but also as a medium to promote the beauty of Korean traditional art to a wider audience. The showcased Oriental paintings and calligraphy works combine traditional techniques and aesthetics with modern expressions, offering a creative perspective that bridges the past and the present.

Following the successful preview exhibition “UNKNOWN VIBES – PRESENT” in December 2024, the upcoming “UNKNOWN VIBES – INSPIRATION” art fair marks its official entry into the art market. According to a SEES4 representative, this fair will be "a significant opportunity to popularize traditional art with a modern interpretation and promote the value of Korean traditional art in the global art market."

UNKNOWN VIBES continues to expand the boundaries of art, spotlighting hidden talents and introducing their original works to broader audiences. It also strengthens its brand identity through diverse platforms such as hotels, exhibitions, and multi-cultural spaces, aiming to grow into a global art fair brand.

This fair is expected to serve as a bridge connecting traditional art with modern audiences, shining a brighter spotlight on Korean traditional art in the global art market.
