SONGEUN Art and Cultural Foundation will present 《The 25th SONGEUN Art Award Exhibition》, on view from December 12, 2025 to February 14, 2026.
Established in 2001, the SONGEUN Art Award has played a vital
role in nurturing emerging Korean artists and supporting the continuity of
their creative endeavors. Marking its 25th edition, this year’s exhibition
features newly commissioned works by 20 shortlisted artists, selected from a
highly competitive pool of 556 applicants through a rigorous preliminary
review.
Among the 20 shortlisted artists who are: Bigo, Bomroya, Taehoon
Choi, Goyoson, Kahee Jeong, Hansaem Kim, Juwon Kim, Minjung Kim, Muyeong Kim,
Youngchan Ko, Hyun Bhin Kwon, Aram Lee, Jinhyung Lee, Sooji Lee, Sungjae Lee,
Yo-E Ryou, Shin Min, Jeongsu Woo, Miryu Yoon and Jeong-ui Yun. The
participating artists present new works across painting, sculpture,
installation, video, and sound, offering a view into the present and future of
contemporary Korean art.
The Grand Prize winner of the 25th SONGEUN Art Award will be
selected through the final judging conducted during the exhibition period and
announced in January 2026.
