On the 5th, the renowned British art magazine ArtReview unveiled its ‘2024 Power 100’ list. Since 2002, the annual ‘Power 100’ has involved experts from around the globe in an in-depth and comprehensive evaluation to select 100 individuals who have made significant contributions to the global art and cultural scene through their activities and influence.

Artist_Global K-Art The Gold Art Prize Announces a Second Set of Winners from the Asian Diaspora
The Gold Art Prize has recently announced its second set of winners, granting $25,000 to five artists of Asian descent selected based on this year’s theme of “Technology and the Body.” The recipients include Tishan Hsu, Mire Lee, Gala Porras-Kim, WangShui, and the team of Enzo Camacho and Amy Lien. Founded in 2021, the Gold Art Prize supports artists from the Asian diaspora, providing them with a platform for recognition and guidance through the Gold House Futures program.

Artist_Global K-Art Artist Jung Kangja Spotlighted in Frieze Masters in London
Frieze Masters 2023 (October 11-15), held in London, made efforts to rediscover historically overlooked female artists. Its AWARE (Archives of Women Artists, Research, and Exhibitions) section brought together lesser-known female artists who worked between 1880 and 1980, such as Fay King Gold, Vera Molnár, and Tarsila do Amaral, alongside artists who have received acclaim in recent years.

Museum_Global K-Art What It Means to Have A Curatorship for Korean Art at The Met
The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met), one of the world’s top five museums, has established a dedicated curator position for Korean art. Supported by the Korea Foundation (KF) and the Samsung Cultural Foundation, this marks its first permanent role for a Korean art curator at an overseas art institution.
