Art Center White Block presents a special
exhibition 《Mixed Air》 on view
through September 27.
This exhibition explores the diverse
boundaries and relationships that exist between humans, nature, and technology,
proposing a new perspective on contemporary art that moves beyond the
conventional dichotomy of form and content.

Modern society has become accustomed to
understanding the world through binary distinctions—artificial and natural,
civilized and uncivilized, machine and human, analogue and digital. Yet as technology
and civilization continue to advance, these divisions become increasingly
entrenched, obscuring or marginalizing the values that lie beyond them.
《Mixed Air》
reconsiders the boundaries that have long shaped our lives, using the language
of art to examine the structures and relationships they produce. The
participating artists focus on the points where disparate realms collide and
converge, revealing new modes of perception and perspectives that often remain
unnoticed.

The exhibition title in Korean, “선 너머
선 (Beyond the Line)”, refers not only to the act of crossing
boundaries but also to the process of questioning the distinctions and systems
of order we have long taken for granted, while seeking new ways for different
beings to form relationships and coexist in harmony.
The exhibition invites visitors to view the
world not through the "eyes of the earth," but through the "eyes
of the atmosphere," encouraging them to discover the multilayered
relationships and meanings that exist beyond the boundaries that shape our
perception.
