Art
Center White Block presents a group exhibition 《Echo:
Resonance of Relations》 from February 12 to April 27.
The exhibition features the works of five mid-career artists—Kim BeomJoong,
Park MiHyun, Sul WonGi, Cha MyungHi, and Choi SangChul—who have dedicated
significant portions of their careers to monochromatic paintings and drawings.
The
showcased pieces have been carefully selected to include representative works
from the most active periods of their careers, offering insight into their
artistic practices. Recent works are also included, allowing viewers to trace
the evolution of their art.

These
artists have consistently worked with monochromatic drawing, pursuing both
collective activities and independent explorations. However, critical analyses
of their artistic careers remain scarce. This exhibition seeks to reposition
their history in the present rather than consign it to the past, offering a
fresh interpretation of their works.

In the moment when one resonance is conveyed to another and echoes back, each artist’s world connects, weaving into new stories. Through this exhibition, viewers can explore the diverse yet interconnected artistic expressions within the shared realm of monochromatic drawing.
