The
Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA) presents the 13th edition of Title Match, the
Buk-Seoul Museum of Art’s flagship annual exhibition: 2026 Title Match 《Inhwan Oh vs. Seo Young Chang: Human Error》, on view through October
25.
A
two-person exhibition that presents each artist’s practice in a concentrated
form, this year’s Title Match marks Inhwan Oh’s first large-scale museum
exhibition in eleven years, and Seo Young Chang’s first public museum
exhibition on the scale of a solo show.

At a time when cutting-edge technology is increasingly seen as
capable of replacing human creation, this exhibition explores the essence of
what is uniquely human in creative practice.
Inhwan
Oh focuses on the human being as an active agent capable of intentionally
generating errors within entrenched social systems. By contrast, Seo Young
Chang considers the human being as an imperfect entity that experiences
physical “errors” arising unexpectedly from within the body.

Oh’s works, including five new commissions, explore the theme
“We’re Not One; Neither Am I.” Questioning the slogan “We are one,” the artist
suggests that neither members of a group nor individuals themselves can be
defined by a single identity.
Chang’s
works, including five new commissions, deal with the theme “Silicon Vanitas.”
The title combines silicon—the principal material used in semiconductors—with
vanitas, an artistic form reflecting on the transience of life. By contrasting
a technology-based civilization that aspires to flawlessness with the human
body, which ages, falls ill, and ultimately dies, the artist reconsiders the
conditions of human existence.
