FOUNDRY SEOUL presents the group exhibition
《Dolce Far Niente》, co-curated
with Los Angeles–based curator and art advisor Irina Stark, on view through May
9.
Inspired by the Italian concept meaning
“the sweetness of doing nothing,” the exhibition highlights the beauty of
idleness and the joy of simply being. Through the quiet power embedded in
moments of pause, the exhibition offers viewers a self-directed time to step
away from the pace of everyday life and focus solely on their own senses and
presence.

The exhibition approaches “doing nothing” (無爲) not as mere rest, but as an active process of reclaiming one’s
inner self. Slowing down is an intentional act—one that allows for the
reflection and care essential to our lives.
The exhibition invites visitors to pause and
reconsider their sense of time, existence, and purpose, encouraging them to
encounter the depth inherent in stillness itself. By taking time to look
without haste, viewers come to discover sensations and meanings that emerge
precisely in moments when nothing is done.
