The
Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with ICOM Korea
(International Council of Museums – Korean Committee) and the Korean Museum
Association, is hosting ‘2025 Museum Week’ from May 2 to 31, with participation
from over 260 museums and art institutions across the country.
This
year’s event is held under the theme selected by ICOM: “The Future of Museums
in Rapidly Changing Communities.” The initiative aims to promote balanced
regional cultural development by expanding the participation of local museums.
As part of the program, regional travel experiences connecting major cultural
spaces and local museums and galleries will continue from last year.
Additionally, the event will actively highlight and promote Korea’s outstanding
cultural heritage across the country.
