ARKO Art Center in collaboration with OnCurating, a non-profit organization based in Zurich, Switzerland, is presenting the exhibition “Into the Rhythm: From Score to Contact Zone” through November 3. The exhibition explores the art museum as a vibrant contact zone, where diverse encounters between people, actions, and situations take shape.

The eleven artists/teams participating in the exhibition present alternative ways of thinking and acting that break away from the repetitive patterns of everyday life and create interactions with others. Through this, the repetitive acts and systems of everyday life can be taken up anew and reread delicately.

The scores for ‘Small Projects for Coming Communities,’ which is a project by OnCurating, guide and instruct the viewers so that certain actions occur in reality, with the viewers becoming eager participants. The written scores direct actions that result in varied performances shaped by the viewer’s unique interpretations and their enactment of the performance, leading to unpredictable encounters and situations.
