The Seoul Museum of Art is presenting the Play Lounge 《But some day, one
day, soon》 at the Seo-Seoul Museum of Art through October
11.
The project is being organized in collaboration with the 2026
Geumcheon Art Belt, an initiative that shares new artistic landscapes with
citizens and connects cultural and artistic spaces throughout Geumcheon.
The Play Lounge at the Seo-Seoul Museum of Art has been created as
an open space that serves as a point of connection between citizens and local
cultural and artistic spaces, where anyone can freely view artworks, spend
time, and participate in creative activities.
Through the project, the museum seeks to expand opportunities for
civic participation, foster a culture of everyday engagement with the museum,
and strengthen connections and exchanges among cultural and artistic hubs
across the local area.

As the first project, the Play Lounge at the Seo-Seoul Museum of
Art presents artist Woosung Lee (b. 1983)’s video work But some day,
one day, soon (2021) to the public. The animation translates the
continuously advancing and receding motion of waves into 1,969 drawings.
As part of the exhibition, the “Seo-Seoul Museum of Art Play
Lounge Workshop” takes place every Saturday, with consecutive sessions running
from Thursday, September 17, through Saturday, September 19, during the
Geumcheon Art Belt event period.
Participants can create their own waves by following Lee’s method
of making the work. The workshop is free and open to all without advance
registration.
