On the 5th, Phillips, one of the world’s top three auction houses, appointed Lim Yeon-ah as the head of its Korean office. 

Since joining Phillips in 2020, she has overseen Phillips exhibitions during the Frieze Seoul art fair over the past two years. 

Regarding her appointment as the head of the Phillips Korean office, Lim expressed her commitment to providing Korean customers with the best service in art and luxury, acknowledging the rapid growth in Korea’s art and luxury market in recent years. 

With over a decade of experience in the art industry, Lim majored in Fine Arts at Ewha Womans University and earned a master’s degree in Visual Arts Management from New York University. She has worked in various organizations such as the ARUMJIGI Foundation, Do Ho Suh Studio, Paradigm Art Company, the Museum of the City of New York, the Leeum Museum of Art, and the Daelim Museum. 

Phillips reported a 341% increase in global auction transactions by Korean collectors since establishing its Korean office in 2018.
