Installation view of 《The Living Room》 ⓒSingapore Art MuseumThe Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA) presents 《The Living Room》 at the Singapore Art Museum
(SAM) through July 19, 2026. The exhibition is co-organized by SeMA, SAM, and
the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA).
This exhibition marks the final chapter of
a collection-based collaborative project initiated in 2023 by the three
institutions. It follows 《The Part In The Story Where
Our Accumulating Dust Becomes A Mountain》 (December 7,
2023 – March 3, 2024), which was held at the Seoul Museum of Art. Each
institution in the collaboration has independently curated and presented an
exhibition utilizing works from their respective collections.

collect, care for, and re-present the “afterlife” of performance. Centered
around the question, “What happens after a performance ends?”, the exhibition
investigates the forms of memory and trace that can be shared and sustained.
During the exhibition period, certain works will be “activated”
without prior notice, allowing visitors to directly experience the ways in
which the exhibition transforms and expands over time.

performances by Brian Fuata and a re-enactment of Ezzam Rahman’s
performance—both of whom were also introduced in the 2023 exhibition at the
Seoul Museum of Art—along with a curators’ talk.
In conjunction with Singapore Art Week 2026, performances by
artists Kim Ga Ram and Nam Hwayeon are scheduled to take place.
Further details about the exhibition will be available on the
Singapore Art Museum’s official website (https://www.singaporeartmuseum.sg/)
