ARARIO MUSEUM presents 《Dongmun Motel II Special
Exhibition: Many Todays》 on view through February 6,
2028.
The “today” we live in cannot be easily
explained through a single narrative. As countless images and pieces of
information are constantly created and disappear, individual and collective
memories intersect in complex ways, while invisible tensions and fractures
exist beneath the surface of everyday life.
Although we live in the same period, the
realities we experience are different, and within a single present, countless
“nows” coexist.

Rather than bringing this complex
contemporary landscape together into a single narrative, 《Dongmun Motel II Special
Exhibition: Many Todays》 presents different facets of
the present side by side, captured through the perspectives of eight artists:
Kang Suki Seokyeong, Ko Younghoon, Noh Sangho, Michael Joo, Suh Doho, Eko
Nugroho, Lee Dongwook and Lee Jinju.
Moving across the virtual and the real,
bodies and spaces, society and culture, memory and the inner self, these works
have distinct qualities and approaches. Yet the gaps and differences between
them reveal, with greater clarity, the diverse realities of the present in
which we live.
Here, these different works encounter one
another to form new relationships, generating further meanings through the
perspectives and experiences of visitors.
