Since last July, the pre-exhibition programs for the Changwon
Sculpture Biennale have been underway. The first citizen-participation program,
“AVP X Muhayu” (July 15-18), took place at Audio Visual Pavilion (AVP) in Seoul
and Muhayu in Changwon, featuring Jeuno JE Kim & Ewa Einhorn, who are based
in Copenhagen, Denmark, and Malmö, Sweden, and Sooncheon No, an artist based in
Changwon. This program consisted of an exhibition and performance workshops.
The performance workshop, which received a great response and had
its registration close early, involved participants listening to the story of
'Krabstadt,' a fictional school created by Jeuno JE Kim & Ewa Einhorn, and
engaging in expressive activities such as sharing and drawing their own
learning experiences.
Additionally, the workshop program “Paper and Sea and Message in a
Bottle,” with artist Donghwan Kam and poet Soyeon Kim, was held from September
11 to 14. This participatory program involved viewing and creating poems with
the participants, as well as sharing memories of living in Changwon.
Videos
and photos that capture the atmosphere of these programs can be viewed on the
Changwon Sculpture Biennale website and social media platforms (Instagram,
Facebook).
