The Suwon Museum of Art, celebrating its
10th anniversary, is hosting the exhibition 《For All: Chocolate, Lemonade and the Party》 through August 24.
Focusing on the theme of a “museum for
everyone,” the exhibition aims to embrace a wide range of audiences. The title—《For All: Chocolate,
Lemonade and the Party》—symbolizes the museum’s vision
of becoming an inclusive and open space: chocolate, once a luxury of the
aristocracy, is now a universally loved treat; lemonade conveys hope in
overcoming life’s bitter trials; and a party represents a joyful gathering open
to all.

A total of 11 artist teams (13
artists)—including Ga Ram Kim, Dahoon Nam, Samantha Nye, Andrea Fraser, Yoon
Gyeol, Lee Hak-Seung, Geunsung Chun, Oneseo Choi, Kate Just, Christine Sun Kim
& Thomas Mader, and Claire Fontaine—are participating in the exhibition.
Through a diverse range of media such as
video, installation, performance, and textiles, the show seeks to break down
the perceived barriers of contemporary art and present the museum as a more
approachable and familiar space.

In conjunction with the exhibition,
interactive workshops such as “Making Electronic Music,” “Grandma and Grandpa’s
Instagram,” and “Knitting, Healing” are offered to help audiences better
understand and directly engage with the exhibition’s themes. These workshops
are free of charge, and details can be found on the Suwon Museum of Art’s
official website (www.suma.suwon.go.kr).
To ensure accessibility for audiences from
diverse backgrounds, exhibition texts displayed inside the galleries are
provided in both standard and easy-to-read versions, and braille brochures are
available for visitors with visual impairments.
