AOD (Art of Dalim) Museum presents a special exhibition 《The Collapse Manual Ep.02》 on view through March 17.

This exhibition is the second in a series conceived under the title “The Collapse Manual,” proposing a perspective that looks beyond the end toward what comes after collapse.

While the preceding exhibition depicted landscapes after collapse, the present exhibition imagines forms of existence that may newly emerge from the ruins. Even atop what appears to be total destruction, unexpected vitality and transformation are detected, where what will take root after the ruins overlaps with the possibilities of generations extending from the past into the future.

Tracing subtle signs of change that prompt us to imagine futures we have yet to witness, the exhibition opens onto alternative possibilities beyond collapse.

The participating artists summon and layer pre-existing forms, organizing an as-yet-unfixed order of images in the interstices between them. Here, collapse operates not as rupture or loss, but as a latent force that enables images to enter into relations and acquire meaning.

Rather than restoring the past, the artists seek subsequent possibilities within the conditions of collapse destined to repeat. By grasping phenomena we have passed by and repositioning them on a different temporal plane, they prompt us to sense the present anew from the vantage point of the future.
