The exhibition "Pack-Unpack,"
which highlights media art, will be held at Total Museum of Contemporary Art
from November 1 to November 14. "Pack-Unpack" is organized as an
attempt to break away from the conventional format of media art exhibitions.
To
achieve this, the exhibition will display the equipment and components used in
the artworks, as well as the technical riders created for their production and
installation. By doing so, it reveals the behind-the-scenes process of how the
exhibition is made, including the compromises between the artist and curator
before the works meet the audience.
The
exhibition will feature works by artists Dorothy M. Yoon, Bang & Lee,
SANGHEE, Hyojung Seo, Song Hojun, Studio Embers 703, Lee Young Ho, and Jung
Eunsil. Through the process of packing and unpacking the artworks, audiences
will directly encounter the exhibition "Pack-Unpack," gaining an
understanding of the technical coordination involved in creating an exhibition.
Moreover, it provides an opportunity to reflect on how digital art can be
presented more diversely and distributed more effectively.
