Museumhead presents 《Flyers》, a two-person exhibition by BANG Jeong-A and JOO Hanbyul, on view through June 20.

Flyers fly in. Imagine lifting a bundle of paper and scattering it into the air; the sheets drift toward unsuspecting, defenseless people like insects fluttering their delicate wings.

The exhibition explores the capacity of images to speak through the (diss)appearance and re-presentation of the ‘image’ in the paintings of two artists, BANG Jeong-A and JOO Hanbyul, working across different times and places.

How can images that are small yet far-reaching, metaphorical yet subversive, spark change? In an era when everything becomes—or must become—an image, in what kind of image do their works fly in as?
