The Ulsan Art Museum is holding a special
exhibition titled 《Code in Narratives》 through November 2, featuring works from its collection.
The exhibition presents 16 major
contemporary artworks from leading institutions in Korea and abroad, including
7 pieces from the museum’s own collection. Notably, several of these works are
being unveiled in the museum’s galleries for the first time since its opening,
adding further significance to the exhibition.

《Code in Narratives》 is an exhibition designed to explore the trends in visual art that
reflect various phenomena of contemporary society since the 2000s, and to share
the artistic approaches and perspectives pursued in contemporary art.
Focusing on the themes of humanity,
society, and technology, the exhibition is organized into five sections: My
Prism, Artistic Messages Confronting Reality, Artistic Reflections on Reality,
Hybridity Beyond Borders, and Imaginary Narratives.

The exhibition begins with works that
explore individual lives and identities, then moves on to pieces that reveal
conflicts and fractures within social structures. It continues with works that
blur the boundaries between reality and the virtual, proposing new frameworks
of perception.
Through this curatorial flow, visitors will
come to understand how contemporary art functions not merely as a form of
visual expression, but as a language that interprets and reconstructs the
complexities of our reality.
