N/A presents 《Hum Bomb, Hum Bomb, Hum Bomb Hum》, a solo exhibition by Cha Yeonså, on view through October 12.

This exhibition is the first to exhibit the expanded form of the artist’s ongoing series ‘Festival’, which she has worked on since 2023. ‘Festival’ originated as papercut collages, using coloured Dak paper left behind as mementos from the artist’s father, cut into specific forms.

The early works, developed with corpses from forensic textbooks illustrations, silverfish living in damp and dark places, and poetic words of the poet Kim Unhee as main imagery, were the laughter of a deed that blossomed amidst the tragedy of human affairs. They unfolded as gestures of laughter blooming within the tragedy of human affairs.

Following the vivid yellow indignity in her previous solo exhibition 《Feed me stones》, the ‘Festival,’ which further unfolds and transforms, embraces the garden in Namyangju, also the studio where the works are created, as another motif.
