The Ministry of Culture, Sports and
Tourism’s National Asian Culture Center (ACC) is launching a global open call
for creators to participate in the “ACC CREATORS 2025 Residency,” a support
program for interdisciplinary content creation and production. Applications
will be accepted until April 30.
Since its opening in 2015, the ACC has been
running the “CREATORS Residency” program for 10 consecutive years. This program
aims to establish a sustainable platform for interdisciplinary content
creation, production, and integration of art and technology. It supports the
developing, producing, and showcasing future-oriented and experimental projects
based on ideas from experts across multiple disciplines.

This year’s theme, “The Intelligence Age,”
envisions a future shaped by rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and
science and technology. The program aims to explore the possibilities of a new
era of coexistence with a third form of intelligence in the data-driven world
through the convergence of art, science, and technology.
The open call covers five categories: Art
& Technology (4 teams), Kinetic Media (1 team), Audiovisual (1 team), Mixed
Reality (1 team), and Immersive Sound (1 team). Selected projects will each
receive KRW 20 million to KRW 30 million in funding, depending on the category.
All creators—including artists,
professionals, researchers, and engineers—with strong creative planning
capabilities, relevant experience, and technical skills to propose new ideas in
the Art & Technology field and realize experimental projects in line with
this year’s theme are welcome to apply.

This year, selected creators will
have the opportunity to experiment with a wide range of Art & Technology
projects—including kinetic media, audiovisual, mixed reality, and immersive
sound—at the ACC’s Complex Studio and Media Studio. The Complex Studio is
equipped with laser systems, lighting, and projection mapping technologies to
support kinetic media projects. At the same time, the Media Studio features a
four-sided rear screen, a motion capture camera system, and a 64-channel
spatial audio setup.
The outcomes of the participants’
projects will be presented in an exhibition at the ACT Studio for two weeks
starting November 25, marking the 10th anniversary of the ACC. Various
programs—including performances, presentations, and workshops—will also be
offered to the public.
Interested applicants should create
an account on the ACC website (www.acc.go.kr), complete the application form,
and submit it online.
