series, which explores and articulates the
gallery’s identity and artistic direction. The exhibition runs through
September 23.
《Capsule Collection 2.0》 illuminates
the formal qualities of pictorial language through the work of Audrey Stone,
Jina Jung, and Yunsung Lee. Each artist works with strict, deliberate
restraint, limiting the elements that compose the canvas. Their discipline
heighten the sensations of painting and allow for distinct visual experiences.
Stone’s work reveals the sublimity and
cyclical rhythms of nature through an abstract grammar of repeated, divided
planes and subtle gradations of color. Her ordered fields of color, charged
with an infinitely expanding sense of movement, touch on the essential
proposition of eternity and draw the viewer into a meditative state.

Jung's paintings are landscapes
reconstructed through data and sensation, evoking a strange sense of déjà vu.
Her use of negative space, shaped by natural silhouettes and shifting
densities, recalls East Asian landscape painting, while layers of accumulated
paint capture the movement of air and the breathing of nature.
Lee intensifies narrative by fusing the
distinct grammars of classical Western mythology and Japanese animation. His ‘Laocoon’
series, presented in this exhibition, sources from the Laocoön—the
Hellenistic sculpture partially damaged over the passage of time.
Through bodies severed by serpents,
backgrounds, lines, and the edges of the canvas itself, the work articulates a
contemporary way of seeing that reads incomplete form as whole.
Here, Lee prompts the viewer to imagine a
narrative beyond the frame by designing canvases of sharp lines cutting across
figures and intersected images in the manner of manga and animation.

Stone composes precise fields of color
through repetition, Jung calibrates the tension between density and negative
space, and Lee unfolds the canvas through meticulously constructed
compositions—each a performative act of discipline.
Through their work, 《Capsule Collection 2.0》 presents painting in its purest form: not as a vehicle for
narrative and message, but as a medium that awakens the viewer's perception
through the act of seeing.
