It is a cognitive field where sensation, memory, power, technology, and desire overlap, continually reshaping a shared mental structure. It does not simply sit behind experience. It quietly organises how perception and thought take form.

This exhibition is part of a traveling exhibition project organized by WWNN, following its presentation at CON_ in Tokyo last year and now continuing at WWNN in Seoul.

Emerging Artists

Exhibitions 《Black Sun》, 2018.11.01 – 2028.11.17, Onground 2 I’m at a museum in Kyoto, Japan. Currently, it is hosting an exhibition of Japan’s national treasures. I find myself unable to leave the Buddhist art section. Despite their age, the large-scale Buddhist paintings possess a solemnity and sanctity that is deeply moving.

Activities Mire Lee Wins Special Prize at the 2021 Future Generation Art Prize Aziz Hazara (Afghanistan) is the winner of the Future Generation Art Prize 2021, the sixth edition of the global art prize for artists under 35, established by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation in 2009. The winner was announced by the international jury at the online award ceremony on 8 December. Aziz Hazara received a total of 100,000 USD: 60,000 USD as a cash prize, and 40,000 USD to fund their artistic practice.

Activities Artist Kim Jipyeong and Public Art Project Unveiled The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (Museum Director Yoon Bum-mo) and the Government Art Bank unveiled the final video of the public art project 'Public' on the Gangnam-daero media platform 'G-LIGHT' on the 22nd.

Exhibitions 《Evanescent》, 2016.07.20 – 2016.09.03, SongEun ArtSpace SongEun ArtSpace regularly organizes solo exhibitions by emerging Korean artists to support and foster new creative potential. The fifth exhibition in this series, held in 2016, featured Yunchul Kim, an artist whose practice investigates the artistic potential of fluid dynamics, metamaterials, and electro-fluid mechanics. Based in Europe, Kim was the recipient of the 2016 Collide International Award organized by CERN.

Activities A Former Rice Mill Bearing the Pain of Exploitation Reimagined as a Space of Reflection Connecting Past and Present: Artist Cho Duck Hyun’s Old Mill Chunpo Project Entangled vines grow thickly along exposed wooden beams, and sunlight filters through gaps in the broken corrugated metal roof of the 110-year-old Chunpo rice-milling factory. Located in Iksan, Jeollabuk-do, the site now displays a large black-and-white photograph of a young woman wearing hanbok.
