Young Gallery Saatchi Yates Relocates and Comments on Its Next Plan
The two founders of Saatchi Yates gallery, Phoebe Saatchi Yates (daughter of the Saatchi gallery founder Charles Saatchi), 28, and Arthur Yates, 32, are among the younger gallerists in London today. They opened Saatchi Yates in 2020, and since then have been unearthing and providing platforms for young and yet unknown artists.
Korean artist Sujin Lee (b. 1990), who never sold one painting before but acquired her position in the market after the 2021 exhibition at Saatchi Yates, was one of them.
This year January the Saatchi Yates announced its relocation to the 10,000 square-foot space in the city’s St. James’s neighborhood. As they have relocated, they are planning to start collecting works of old masters in correspondence to the area’s expertise and taste in classical paintings. The inaugural exhibition after its relocation will present Omar El Lahib’s (b. 1986) paintings in March.

The Lightroom Art Center soon to open in King’s Cross will be specialized in new media, spectacle scale exhibitions such as immersive shows, and the Hockney exhibition will be its beginning.
