Philharmonie de Paris presents “En Amour,” an immersive, audience-participatory performance at the intersection of live performance and visual art, through August 25.

“En Amour” is part of the “Rituals” series by the digital art company Adrien M & Claire B. For “En Amour,” musician Laurent Bardainne interweaves digital images with the voice of singer November Ultra. The work consists of 40-minute narrations of stories about love and separation, interspersed with music and digital images projected across the large concert hall. The sound and image transform as they interact with the audience’s movements, creating an ever-evolving sense of form, color, and sound.

The work is realized with eMotion, an interactive motion creation software that Adrien Mondot (b. 1979) has been developing since 2006.
