Digital art museum Atelier des Lumières presents “Egyptian Pharaohs: From Cheops to Ramesses II” through January 5, 2025. The exhibition showcases 3,000 years of Egypt’s legendary civilization during the Pharaonic period through immersive video projections.

The exhibition presents scenes from Egyptian civilization according to the cycle of life. Beginning with an ancient cosmology on the genesis of the world, the exhibition continues with reliefs, paintings, and ancient papyri that reveal the daily life of the ancient Egyptians. The viewer then passes by massive construction sites, pyramids, and the tombs of the pharaohs guarded by the Sphinx. After passing through hundreds of temples and royal valleys spread across Egypt, the exhibition ends with scenes from the afterlife.

This digital spectacle of the spirit and legacy of Ancient Egypt, including its gods, architecture, politics, and commerce, has been a huge draw. Last year, the La Villette theater in Paris also presented “Ramses the Great & the Gold of the Pharaohs,” a virtual reality showcase of Egyptian civilization.
