About The Work

Purgatory is a place where the souls of the dead are tempered by fire to cleanse them of their remaining sins, and it is the halfway point between death and a new existence before going to heaven or hell. The artist believes that the role of art is to mediate between art and the public, religion and everyday life, and the noble and the secular. The “Purgatorium” may be the artist’s inner world, expressing humor in a sculptural language that contradicts chaos, harmony, and the obsession of the times.
