This artwork has never been revealed to the outside world before. The multitude of pens within “Pens” is composed of intense colors and organized patterns, demonstrating the artist’s world expanding infinitely within and beyond the canvas. The pens in the work, which are arranged without distinction between front and back, show a reductive abstraction inwardly and a diffuse conceptualization outwardly in the artist’s planned composition.
