The two spaces in Bukchon, PAGEROOM8 and JIWOOHEON, are jointly hosting their first exhibition of 2025, 《OCTO-》, until February 22.

Since its opening in 2021, PAGEROOM8 has established a sense of identity by curating a community exhibition through its annual New Year project, 《OCTO》, which gathers one artwork from each of the artists who have shaped the space. Notably, for the 2025 edition, 《OCTO》 has expanded its concept through collaboration with the gallery JIWOOHEON.

A total of 38 artists (24 from PAGEROOM8 and 14 from JIWOOHEON) are participating, each presenting one work at both spaces (two works in total per artist), fostering a sense of solidarity through the exhibition. This initiative creatively curates the future sustainability and role models of galleries, suggesting that new forms of collaboration and projects can drive mutual growth and development between spaces.

The exhibition offers an opportunity to gauge contemporary art trends across various genres and to gain insight into the unique artistic expressions of each participating artist.

PAGEROOM8 has built its identity by focusing on exhibitions that emphasize drawing elements, such as the two-person show 《Shadow Esquisse》 and the printmaking-specialized exhibition 《Monad Printmaking》, while also emphasizing the sustainability of artist books.

Meanwhile, JIWOOHEON hosts in-depth curated invitational exhibitions featuring sculptors and ceramic artists working with clay, creating a remarkable harmony between their works and the aura of its traditional hanok space.
