SONGEUN presents 《LIGHT, FORM
AND VISION: Roman Heritage in Dialogue with Korean Contemporary Art》, a special exhibition organized in partnership with Bvlgari, on
view through November 14.
Reinterpreting the iconic B.zero1 collection through the
perspectives of Korean contemporary artists, the exhibition invites visitors on
a multisensory journey through the design evolution of the Icon and the Roman
architectural heritage.
The exhibition features six artists and collectives who have
participated in programs organized by the SONGEUN Art and Cultural Foundation:
GRAYCODE, jiiiiin, Kim Jee Soo, Junebum Park, Eunu Lee, Jeong Young Ho, and
Sungim Choi. Through diverse media and sensory languages, they offer
multifaceted interpretations of the core values of B.zero1.

The artists examine the physical properties of materials used in
B.zero1 over time, including gold, steel, ceramics, and marble, focusing on
qualities such as weight, flexibility, and malleability. They also reconfigure
the intersection of precision mechanical processes and artisanal intent through
sculptural forms.
Extending across photography, video, sound, and
installation, the exhibition creates a multisensory field of experience. Works
evoke olfactory experiences that traverse layers of time and space, translate
the resonance of metal into sound, and transform the modular structures of
circles and spirals into three-dimensional rhythms.

The exhibition further expands the scope of sensory inquiry by
deconstructing and recombining B.zero1’s archival materials and historical
references within a contemporary context. On the second basement level, the
Bunker Room also presents a “Retrospective Room,” offering an overview of the
long history and distinctive aesthetics of Bvlgari jewelry.
