KAMS Provides a Multilingual Glossary Service for Korean Art with Naver

On the 21st, Naver, one of the largest search engine platforms in South Korea, announced its collaboration with the Korea Arts Management Service (KAMS) to integrate the “Korean Art Multilingual Glossary” into Naver’s language dictionaries, seeking to provide clear, official translation guidelines for Korean art terms and ensuring accurate representation for international audiences.

The glossary covers a wide range of art-related terms, figures, organizations, and institutions, with translations and explanations available in English, Japanese, and Chinese.

Having formalized their partnership in July, Naver and KAMS intend to make this glossary more accessible to a broader audience. As an outcome of this collaboration, Naver’s dictionaries now feature over 6,000 art terms, including entries such as “문인화 (muninhwa)” and “일월오봉도 (ilwolobongdo),” accurately translated into multiple languages in Naver’s language dictionaries.
